The Shelters

The Shelters at Pine Creek Retreat are designed for a peaceful and private escape. Nestled along the tranquil Pine Creek Ravine or within Pine Grove—a cluster of cabins perfect for small groups—these eco-luxury cabins offer either serene ravine views or picturesque vistas of the hillside Saskatoon orchard. Each cabin features a king-size bed or two twin beds, cozy bedding, and inviting indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Guests can enjoy an outdoor fireplace and picnic tables, with grills available upon request. Powered units include heaters for added comfort, ensuring a relaxing stay in any season.

Retreat Facilities

Pine Creek Retreat’s facilities blend historical charm with modern convenience. The heart of the retreat is the Pine Creek Stopping House, a designated provincial historical resource built in 1908. Once an inn, general store, post office, and social gathering place, it now houses our office, café, and general store. The retreat also features a modern lodge with kitchen facilities available for venue rentals, a spacious great room, and a buffet area. Together, these facilities provide a comfortable and versatile setting for guests, whether you’re enjoying a quiet retreat or hosting a group event.

The Commons

The Commons is a central space designed to enhance group stays and events. It includes several key components to ensure comfort and convenience for guests. The Carriage House serves as the heart of the area, offering luxury showers, flushing toilets, and a sinks for easy access. The “SHED” is a versatile pole-style structure that functions as a cooking and seating area with a cozy fireplace, perfect for group meals and gatherings. The Commons also features a large outdoor fire pit with seating, ideal for socializing and enjoying Alberta’s starlit skies, and spacious group tables for shared activities and meals.
